You should always remember that the fish you catch need to be shipped back home, and usually, that means overnight shipping. Overnight shipping can be expensive, so plan accordingly.

Deep Sea Fishing Tips for Beginners:

Seriously, ask for help – This is so important. Even people that have gone deep sea fishing before are unfamiliar with the equipment presented on a charter boat. Ask the crew for help. If fishing with live bait, change your bait often – Live bait needs to be just that; living. When you stick a hook through your bait it won’t live very long after that, and then you don’t get the advantages of live bait.

Maintain the right attitude – Yes, fishing in Aruba is awesome. You will most likely end up catching fish. Sometimes, however, you might not get the catch of a lifetime. You might end up only catching the normal things. Even the best fisherman have bad days, and you are probably not the best fisherman out there. Stay happy and just enjoy the time you have out at sea doing the thing you love.

Tip your crew appropriately – When you go deep sea fishing, the crew and captain are the ones that will guide you through the entire process. They will tell you what is best at what times. If you end up having a great time, then you should tip them.
