There are a lot of RV’s that are made for all four seasons, but does that mean an RV is meant for the cold? Here is a list of 11 RV’s that will help you know which are the best RV’s for cold weather camping.

When you buy an RV, it’s important to look for an RV that can survive the winter cold. Some RVs will say they can handle four seasons but actually can’t. In order for an RV to be a winter RV, the pipes and water tanks need to be insulated.

The plumbing can be dangerous in freezing temperatures. It’s important to know that you’re taking the risk of these water lines breaking and damaging your RV.

Even with the insulation, it doesn’t mean the RV will stay home. When camping in areas that consistently are below 0, it can get cold even with a “4 season” or “winter” RV. Some RV’s come with a Polar Package of insulation which is helpful but they can still compare to regular RVs’ insulations.

So which RV’s can hold up the best in the cold? Let’s go and see.

Four-Season RVs

Winter Camping

Going forward, be careful as you purchase your Winter RV. Some RVs will say “Four Seasons” but this doesn’t mean the RV can manage in the cold weather. It is important to take precautions before setting out so you are prepared to camp in the snow and the cold.

Other things to help you survive those cold winter months rv’ing is a heated water hose, heat tape, rv skirting, and larger propane tanks!

Whichever RV you choose, it can be a great adventure with one of these warm campers. Happy camping and stay warm!
